Homework Board - Mon, April 30

What a great last day of the month!  The students worked hard on their novel study, and a presentation on Emily Carr.  We also started our new read aloud, Pay It Forward.  It's the theme of our Genius Hour project that will be working on until June.  More information to come!

This week, we are also asking students to bring home their Heritage Fair projects!  Any project or artifact still in the classroom at the end of the week will be recycled/reused next year.  Thank you for all the support managing the students' time, effort, and worries!  The Fair was outstanding.

We are also pleased to have the Watari organisation over the next 4 weeks to discuss Drug & Alcohol awareness.  It should be very informative and a great way to start some conversations at home.

Just a reminder that the Vancouver Symphony is coming to Wolfe on Monday, May 14th.  All parents and family are invited to join us!  Also, Sports Day is coming up on May 17th from 8:55 -2.  Dress for the weather!

Don’t forget our open house tomorrow between 2:30 and 6:30!  We hope to see you there!

Wednesday 4 April 2018

Welcome Back!

Welcome back!  We hope everyone had a great Spring Break!

As you know, students are fully immersed in our Heritage Fair.  The Fair itself will be on April 24th.  Parents are invited to join us, but we will narrow down the time next week.

Your child may also have told you, that due some class number changes for Miss Walker and us, we are no longer platooning (switching teachers and grade groups) for math and social studies.  We had our first combined math class today and it was great!  It was awesome that we got the best of both worlds this year; we got to try changing classes and teachers, and now we are back as a class for all subjects.

A form went home today for Student Led conferences coming up next week.  We dismiss early on both Wednesday and Thursday and will be meeting families open house style on Wednesday.  Thursday will be for individual meetings and we will be contacting you if we feel we need to meet at that time.
