Homework Update - Wed, May 30

Sorry we missed the photo this afternoon. There are 2 updates though.  The first is that the Novel study project is due tomorrow, but students can use the weekend to push themselves to extend in all aspects of the project. They will get some peer feedback tomorrow, so they will have an idea about what to work on.

Finally, tomorrow is Crazy Hair day!!!  Wigs, colour, style, or just don’t brush it!  We are excited to show our school spirit tomorrow.

Homework Board - Thurs, May 24 & Important June Dates

There are a couple of important dates coming up in June that you will need to know about:

Wed, June 13th: Gr. 6/7 Kayaking
The Gr. 6s are kayaking in Deep Cove (Gr. 5s will remain at school.) We will need parent drivers for both ways, as due to new permit restrictions in the Cove, our buses were cancelled!

Thurs, June 21st: Spring Concert
Thanks to Mr. Mathewson, our class will be performing in both the afternoon and the evening concert.  Please book it off in your calendar!

Fri, June 22nd: Playland
It's a Kelly/Soper tradition! Drivers will be needed.

Mon, June 25th: Desk Clean-Out Day
Please make sure your child has a bag or box to take home everything they have in the classroom.

Wed, June 27th: Play Day
After the Gr. 7s finish their Stepping Up ceremony (around 11), the rest of the school will be celebrating the last Play Day of the year.  Bring games, toys, skateboards and helmets, and your imagination.  No electronics please.

Let us know if you have any questions!

Homework Board - Mon, May 14th

Lots of projects on the go!  The students have been very productive. Tomorrow the science body system projects are due.  Wednesday, I will be collecting all the Novel Study reading sheets and kids will be starting their final project.  As well, we are continuing to work on our French projects in class because they are due on the 23rd.   There isn't too much homework with all these projects, but 15 minutes a day would really help get them finished and leave time to extending their learning.  All assignments have rubrics, ask your child to show you the criteria.
