Don't forget that it's Play Day tomorrow!  Practice your creativity, flexibility, and even be bored!

Monday 26 November 2018

Mon, Nov. 26

Just a couple reminders:

Friday is Play Day!  Time to practice our creativity, cooperation, and patience.  Please encourage your child to bring games, toys, and crafts without batteries on Friday.

We are going on a field trip to the Central Branch of the public library next week.  Students need to bring a full compass card, or bus fare for two trips on that day.  Exact change is required.  Students will also need a public library card.  If you already have one, it's time to dig it up.  If not, I have forms to apply for one!  We are also looking for a volunteer to join us that day.  Let me know if you are interested!  Thank you!

Great trip to Hamber today!  We were really impressed witb their independence and punctuality this morning. Well done!

Also, we have a student with a peanut allergy in the class this year.  Just a reminder to be peanut aware.

Message from our class rep. Natasha and Miss Kelly and Mrs. Soper:

Reminder: the students are to meet for their tour of Eric Hamber Secondary at 8:45am tomorrow morning.

The Meet up spot is at the entrance just next to the Staff Parking Lot off of Willow Street.

They will be walking back to General Wolfe after the tour so please make sure they aren't loaded down with a lot of heavy backpacks and they have good walking shoes & a rain jacket.   There's a 90% chance of rain tomorrow!

Goal Setting Conferences

It's goal setting conference time!  Your child has been thinking about their learning and set some goals for themselves that they'd like to share.  Most of you should have your conference times already, but if you don't feel free to contact Miss Kelly & Mrs. Soper via email to set something up.  Rosemary also has a copy of our schedule.

Please note, our conferences are a bit more relaxed than other classes.  Your child has set their goals, and Miss Kelly and I have seen and commented on them.  Come in and get started sharing those goals even if there are other families in the room.  Miss Kelly and I will give each family 15 minutes of our time to review, but you are welcome to stay and discuss the classroom or goals for as long as you want, just be respectful of the other families in the room.  If you feel that a more private meeting is required, we can set it up for a later date!

We look forward to seeing you all on Tuesday or Wednesday.
