Just a reminder that Goal Setting conferences are Wednesday and Thursday afternoon this week. Students will be dismissed at 2pm on both days. All students have been notified of their times and they will also be posted outside the classroom. Please just come on in and get started and Miss Kelly or Mrs. Soper will join you when they are free. On your way up, check out our new bulletin board. Division 2 decided to share our mindfulness strategies with the rest of the school!

Optimism and Success
After listening to the acceptance speech of our new Prime Minister, we were inspired by his optimism! Optimism an important part of learning. It leads to good mental health and good learning habits. Students will be practicing optimism by creating Vision Boards for their year goals this week. We can't wait to share them with you at Goal Setting next week.

So Many Things to be Thankful For!
Hope everyone had a fantastic Thanksgiving weekend. We are all so fortunate to have so much to be thankful for. Miss Kelly and I are thankful to be part of the Wolfe community and to have the privilege of hanging out with the kids of Division 2 everyday!
Over the last couple weeks, thanks to our generous PAC, we have been doing gymnastics in P.E. Miss Kelly issued a challenge to the class, "Get to the top of the rope, and get an automatic "A" in Gymnastics." You can imagine the response! Everyone has been trying! Even Mrs. Soper tried today! A special congratulations to Noah, Peyton, Jack, Fiona, Astrid, Sebastian, Ruby and Jessica for making it to the top. Friday is our last chance to try. Fingers crossed they can get Miss Kelly up there too!
There are some due dates coming up:

Into the Swing of Things!
So, we've had the first Friday Folders... We've had our first science lab, math tests (Grade 6s have their first test on Thursday), and writing assignments. The due dates are starting to pile up and students are starting to have to manage their homework time. Please be aware that most students will have some math homework every night, and should also be working on some ongoing project work a little each night. As for any missed assignments that come home on the Friday Folder, that work needs to be completed by the following Monday to avoid receiving a zero grade.
Also, if a student is struggling with his or her homework, we encourage the student to email Miss Kelly or Mrs. Soper and ask for help either online or before school. This email does not mean the homework is excused, it only avoids a late mark.
One last reminder:
All students need a flash drive at school or access to Google Docs as our VSB computers are very unreliable and we don't want anyone losing their work!
Until next week,
Miss Kelly & Mrs. Soper
