Walkathon This Friday

We hope everyone enjoyed their Professional Day yesterday!  The teachers worked on the School's Goal of new curriculum development, and then took a Marimba class with Mr. Mathewson!  We are so lucky to have such a fine set of instruments and such an amazing music teacher.  It was a great day!

This week, we continue to work on our Day I Was Born Projects.  Students have had a tonne of class time so far, and should be finishing up their writing and research by now, and beginning their timeline and presentations.  Your child should try and tackle a small piece of it each day.  Students are also working on a creating a game for P.E. and a short presentation on an extreme environment.  Both of those projects are being done in class time in small groups.  It's going to be a great week.

Just a reminder that the Walkathon is this Friday.  Last week the kids took some time to examine the PAC's budget for this year.  We discussed where and how the money was being spent, and how it benefited them.  It was great for them to take some ownership over the fundraising.  Plus, it is a contest for laps run!  Last year, Div 2 won most laps run for an Intermediate Class.  We are primed to try again this year!  For our theme, we've been throwing around a bunch of ideas, but so far, "Wolfe Pack" is our frontrunner.  Check in with us later!
